🎉 Congratulations to Sophia E. Salemi on her first first-author paper, recently accepted in Stem Cell Research!
The study, titled "Generation of induced pluripotent stem cell line ISMMSi060-A from a patient with combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 25", highlights groundbreaking work on a novel mitochondrial disorder caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in the MARS2 gene.
This research describes the generation and characterization of iPSC line ISMMSi060-A, derived from fibroblasts of a patient with Combined Oxidative Phosphorylation Deficiency 25 (COXPD25). The iPSCs exhibit normal morphology, pluripotency marker expression, genome integrity, and differentiation potential, paving the way for future studies into mitochondrial disorders.
